My name is Devante Watkins! Your favorite lifestyle, portrait, event photographer, and founder of DJW Photoworks! I offer on-location photography in Cabarrus County (NC) and surrounding areas.

My love for photography began as an adolescent. My Big Mama (Great Aunt), who I spent many days with as a child, encouraged me to create, & capture every special moment we shared. Big Mama taught me the value of an image - that capturing these special moments help bring family and friends together. Photo images are priceless; They prompt us to reminisce and cherish unforgettable memories with our loved ones and for years to come - yes, even the embarrassing ones! My goal as your photographer is to capture images of YOUR moments that will become memories to last a lifetime.  

In 2019, my first client expressed a desire for family Christmas photos. I jumped into action - found the location, coordinated their attire, and got to work. After hundreds of out-of-focus images, hours of YouTube tutorials, months of studying my favorite photographers on social media, and multiple equipment upgrades, DJW Photoworks was born.
